These can be collected and plundered!
They can contain all common and also very rare resources!

The navy weill attack the pirates whenever they can!
They will not rest until they or their opponent are at the bottom of the sea!

Radioactive Pirates

Looting, pillaging and no law respect, these are the pirates of Radioactive!
You want to join? Sink the damn navy!

The pirates owns Schooner, Brigantine and Galleon class ships.

Sunken ships of the Pirates have a Loot Chest on board which you can take with “E” (Claim Booty).
All Pirate ships have an ammobox which can be plumbed.
These contain far more gold/balls than Navy ships!

Brigantine and Galleons can also transport CargoRacks.
These can be collected and plundered!
They can contain all common and also very rare resources!

The pirates attack the Navy whenever they can!
They will not rest until they or their opponent are at the bottom of the sea!

Standing System

Every player, including existing players, starts with Standing 0 (Neutral) for both factions.

While you are at Standing 0, both factions will not attack you unless you fire first!

If you want to “reset” your standing, you can purchase a pardon for gold in the Freeport.

The standing goes from -1000 to +500 and works as follows:

Destroy planks/sails/etc:
-5 standing with the faction you attack, +1 standing with the other faction

Killing NPCs (in camps):
-5 standing with the faction you are attacking, +1 standing with the other faction

Attacks in general:
Attacks will give you and your ship/crew/animal a 10 minute buff that will make you a target, regardless of your standing with that faction.

You can only get above +500 Standing with the upcomming Quest-System!

View Standing

In Inventory

You can always check your standing in the inventory, you will find a scroll there, which you cannot remove like your compass, this contains all current information about your standing.

On a ship

Ships “copy” the standing of their captain and are treated accordingly when no captain is at the steering wheel.
You can see the standing on the right side of the screen in the form of the Navy- & Pirate logo, which are coloured accordingly.
Red = Enemy
Green = Friendly
Normal (White) = Neutral

Loot System

If you are attacking Pirates/Navy Camps or sink ships you have the opportunity to claim a treasure (Press “E” to Claim Booty).
For ships this is a glowing treasure chest, in the belly of the wreck, for camps the flag of the camp.
Camps give other loot than ships, the exact table is secret, but there are some parts e.g. from our mod, which you can only get here!
Ships give similar loot as SOTDs but it doesn’t matter if Schooner/Brigantine or Galleone, the loot and the quality is the same, only the amount of loot is different!

Quality of the lot:
A large part of the quality of the booty is controlled by our standing system, this is ~50%! So if you’re looting with a poor standing, you don’t need to expect anything great.

The loot is completely independent of the ship class!
Bad standing also has a negative influence on the loot!

NPCs / Crew:
The bigger the ship, the more and higher level NPCs you can get.
The level, however, is random, which is why even Schooners can be more rewarding than Brigantines or Galleons with a little luck.

General principle applies:
If you hunt pirates, the higher your standing in the Navy, the better your loot will be, and of course the lower your standing in the Navy, the worse your loot will be!
If you hunt the Navy, the higher your standing with the pirates, the better your loot will be, and of course the lower your standing with the pirates, the worse your loot will be!

What is the Navy or the pirates?

The Navy and the Pirates are real NPC ships, including sails, planks and everything that goes with it!

Is the navy/pirates aggressive?

he Navy and Pirates will attack and pursue player ships, but only if your standing or that of your ship is negative.

Are the Navy/pirates attacking ships that are anchored?

No, not unless you’ve had the aggro before.

Can Navy & Pirates sail against the wind?

Similar to players, the Navy/Pirates must use the wind to move forward.

Can I immobilize the Navy/Pirates by destroying their sails?

Yes.

I have shot the Navy/Pirates but the lifebar doesn’t change?!

The Navy/Pirates work like a player ship, it only loses life when water enters the ship.

Can the Navy/Pirates repair planks and sails?

Yes, damaged planks start the autorepair after a short time, missing planks and sails will be replaced after some time. The same rules as for players apply, means damaged planks start with low HP and autorepair.

Is the Navy dropping loot?

Yeah, similar to the SoD.

Does the Navy/Pirates drop recruitable NPCs?

Yes, see above

If I sink the Navy/Pirates, can I salvage its wreck or will it disappear?

As with players, the wreck sinks to the ground and can be dismantled, it disappears after 24 hours.

I’ve lost standing, but I’m on land?

Then one of your company members has messed with one of the factions! Here, every company member in the grid is affected!
