Patch Notes August 2021

Unfortunately, the seahorses have not yet been fixed with this update! We ask for your understanding!

Naptha & Shell Oil:

  • Naptha Oil can now be obtained from oil rocks in the Polar Region
  • Shell Oil can now be obtained from oil rocks in the Tropic Region

Fixes:

  • Fixed decay of dropped spider / crocodile eggs
  • Brooding in spiders & crocodile eggs fixed.
  • Fixed dismantling of Thorny Dragon corpses.
  • Thorny Dragon death animation fixed.
  • Appearance of crocodile eggs corrected
  • Minor bugs with Advanced Dinghy Dock / Land Dinghy Dock fixed
  • No more young animals spawn in the Living Mythos
  • Newly set planks at Trireme, Dhow, Junk now repair normally high again (not Instant full HP).
  • Fixed a problem with the production of the Small Handling Sail
  • Gunport Wall can now only be placed on ships
  • Kraken Ship, Mortar Ship & Ramming Galley are now integrated in the remote view

Wood Catwalks
We're bringing back the wood catwalks!
You can now find the "Vanilla Catwalk" at the Wood Variants of the Catwalk

Rare Sightings:

  • Seahorse added
  • Unicorns no longer disappear after daybreak (~20 minutes) but after 60 minutes after spawning
  • Unicorns now spawn with a delay in the polar night (up to 5 minutes)

Ritual circle:

Iceberg:

  • Dismantled resources now have a destructive mesh
  • Resource quantity is now dependent on the harvesting rate (more for boosts / events)

RA-Converter:

Now blueprints of sails & shipyards can also be converted to their Better versions, as usual it can happen that the stats are no longer displayed after the conversion, but they are still theresimply wait for a restart and store them in a box.

Glowing Whale:

  • Luminous Substance can now only be looted by the company that killed the whale.

Dhow:

  • Dhau outsourced to its own skill: Dhau Shipwright

Junk:

  • Firework Cannons can now also be placed in the gunports

Mortar Ship:

Mortars can only be fired when the ship is anchored!
Unlike the ship mortar (for all ships), however, the ship does not have to be anchored in green!

Large Pillars

These pillars in wood and stone are twice the size of normal pillars!

New planks & gunports:

  • Medium Armored Planks
    Only possible as a drop at Armored Briggs!
  • GlassGunports
    These gunports have a glass panel in the hatch, which makes it possible to look outside even when the hatches are closed.
    In addition to the normal costs, they cost a Glasslate (Large cost 2) but no Glasslate for the repair!!!

New ship "Red Lowe":

This brigantine class ship is characterized mainly by its high and narrow design.
It has 9 gunports per side.
Also, this ship has two aft-facing gunports.
It consists of 4 decks and has an additional deck in the front.
It is built from 52 planks, 20 of which can be gunports.
Crew: 24
Base weight: 17.000
Masts: 3 Large
Compatible with the Firework Cannons

New ship "Armored Brig":

This brigantine is much more resistant than the normal brig due to additional reinforcements made of metal
Of course, this makes their base weight (weight of the planks) much higher, which makes them slower!
Crew: 16
Base weight: 15.000
Masts: 3 Large
In addition, we offer the Armored Brig of course also as a mahogany variant!

Mahogany sails:

Please lift all Mahogany sails and converts them back into Better Sails!
With this update you have the mahogany version for each sail to change when placing the Better Sails.
The old mahogany sails will be removed with an upcoming patch, so sails that you do not convert will disappear.

Large Sails (All):

  • block (to the next placeable sail).

New sail Front Sail:

This sail sits in front of the ship and is rigid, so it cannot be turned into the wind.
It has an effective wind angle of 90 degrees and offers a little thrust.
It can be used on the Schooner, Brigantine, Galleon and Red Lowe
For the ships Trireme & Dschunke there is a cosmetic variant (without thrust).
It costs no sail points and can therefore be easily integrated into Large Sail combinations.
This sail uses the skins of the Speedsails, if you have one you can also use it for this sail!

Junk:

  • New snap point for the Front Sail (Cosmetic)

Trireme:

  • New snap point for the Front Sail (Cosmetic)

Reinforced Resourcechest:

  • Radiocoins can now be stored

New figureheads:

  • Leatherwing
  • Dragon
  • Gorgon
  • Yeti

Navy & Pirates:

With this update, the Navy / Pirate fleet will be significantly changed. The ships listed below are a potential additional spawn and can therefore appear in various groups.

  • Panzerbrig:
    This pirate and navy ship is heavily armored and therefore much stronger than the normal brigantine.
    It also has large canons.
    Increased chance for blueprints of the Panzerbrig and its blueprint

- Buccaneers:

The Buccaneers now also use the new sailing logic that is used in Pirates & Navy, of course the speeds have been adjusted, but they can change a little and the ships behave differently!
The Buccaneers are also getting a new ship!

  • Junk:
    This ship is relatively fast (for Buccaneers) and well armed.
    Increased chance of finding parts of the junk!

General spawn behavior NPC ships:

The respawn intervals for NPC ships have been reduced.
The number of NPC ships has been increased
Mixed groups can occur due to the additional ships
