2026–2027 Season – Rough at Sea

New Game Mechanic: Boarding Ships

  • Ships controlled by the faction AI can now be boarded if their health points fall below 50 %
  • Once a ship is boarded, it can no longer fire, move, or sink
  • Keep in mind that your ship can still fire and can be fired upon by other ships. Therefore, keep your cannons ready and do not board any ships as long as other enemies are nearby.
  • Once you've boarded a ship, you must defeat the enemy crew in order to loot the ship.
  • You'll receive all the loot you would normally get, plus a better (higher-level) crew, additional rewards (in the form of modules, Wind Tokens, or BP for some items you normally can't craft at that quality), and XP!
  • Boarding can be initiated and canceled using the appropriate controls on the steering wheel.

Crew:

  • The base weight of the crew was increased from 45 to 80.
  • The crew no longer gains XP, so their spawn level is also their maximum level
  • The crew now has a new stat called „Reload Speed,“ which increases the overall speed at which the guns are reloaded.
  • The crew now has a new stat called „Weight Reduction,“ which lowers the crew’s own weight!
  • In Crew, armor weighs only 10% of its actual weight

P.O. Box:

  • Only 5 mailboxes can be transferred to Nassau within 7 days (multiple times, of course).
  • The required structure limit has been significantly reduced to allow for smaller outposts (50 structures)

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with SailTurningEffectiveness for butterfly sails
  • The spawning of carcasses (the dead whales, squids, and ships you can find on the beach) has been fixed
  • Fixed a bug with gunports featuring a specific door model that prevented them from being colored
  • Fixed a bug in some ship structure variants that caused colors to be saved incorrectly
  • Fixed a bug where rares would sometimes spawn in mountains or below the map (for water rares)—rares now always spawn in a location where they can be found!!!
  • You can now see the correct names of your active global CompanyBuffs, so you no longer have to guess when canceling them
  • A bug in the stats for the Shark Leather Set has been fixed
  • Fixed a bug in Improved Mortar

Balance Changes:

  • The durability of the Earth Magic Staff has been reduced to match that of all other magic staffs
  • The oxygen level of the Sharkleather helmet has been corrected
  • The aquamarine yield in the Crystal Cave has been improved
  • The storage space on the armor and weapon racks has been expanded
  • Cargo is no longer copied for ships with storage compartments
  • Lightning spells deal additional damage for each additional target within the AoE area (+7.5/10/151 TP4T of base damage, depending on the spell's level)
  • Saddles from Alpha Kills are now pre-crafted
  • Magic Flasks are not consumed and can be used multiple times before they expire
  • Magic Flasks: Capture Time Reduced to Make It Easier to Use
  • Effective immediately, Global Buffs and Pull Menu are separate, so you can always have 3 buffs and one Pull Menu active at the same time

Company Logos:

  • The entire system has been redesigned; it now offers several advantages and has been greatly simplified.
  • As a result, all old company logos must be repurchased; in the future, they will always be valid for one season.
  • On all sails, you can now use the radial menu to enable or disable the company logo—if you have one—as desired. A skin item is no longer required.
  • Front sails are now also available
  • In the future, you'll be able to craft company flags at a low cost (no more RadioCoins required)—keep in mind that this includes, for example, flags for the tops of your sails.

RadioShop

  • Our RadioShop has been fully digitized! You can now access it via /shop!
  • RadioCoins are now automatically credited to your account upon purchase

Ships:

  • Ships no longer have crew limits (they have a fixed cap of 100); they are limited only by weight
  • Crew modules were removed because they are no longer needed
  • All Ships have been modified and adjusted to improve balance and accommodate new metas
  • Emergency ladders improved for some ships
  • RoterLöwe Decks Improved

Ship's Log:

  • Can be installed or removed just like a module
  • You level up the ship's log by “sailing,” and it records the meters or kilometers traveled over the duration of the voyage.
  • Depending on the logbook's level, your ship's maximum level increases by 1 (up to a maximum of 6)—this effect stacks with ship quality, bringing the maximum ship level to 66.
  • Please note: If you remove your logbook, your ship will of course be unable to maintain its level, and any excess XP your ship has earned will be lost; however, your logbook's stats and level will remain intact.
  • The logbook can be equipped with a ship chibi, giving your ship a companion similar to the player chibi! – These will be released throughout the season!

Title:

  • Titles will be automatically unlocked in the future (included in the next patch)
  • „LeviathanFirst“ is being renamed „The Leviathan's Call,“ and many more titles are now available to play!
